Day 4: Declutter Your Soul and Let It Go ๐ Matthew 19:16-22; Matthew 6:21 Lent is a season of spiritual declutteringโa time to let go of anything that takes priority over Christ. The rich young ruler was unwilling to surrender his wealth to follow Jesus, revealing that his heart clung to material things more than to God. What about us? We may not be holding onto wealth, but perhaps we are clinging to: ๐ Unforgivenessโlet it go. ๐ Prideโlet it go. ๐ Worry and fearโlet them go. ๐ Sin that entangles usโlet it go. Jesus calls us to release everything that competes with Him in our hearts. As we fast, pray, and seek renewal during Lent, letโs ask: ๐ What am I holding onto that I need to surrender? ๐ Is there anything I value more than my relationship with Christ? ๐ Am I willing to lay down my comforts for the sake of following Him? Just as we clean out our homes, letโs clean out our hearts. The clutter of life can weigh us down spiritually, but in Christ, we find freedom when we surrender all. ๐ Lenten Prayer: Lord, I release everything that distracts me from You. Help me declutter my heart and remove anything that hinders my spiritual growth. May this be a season of true surrender and renewal. Amen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Recap from this Week: A Call to Repentance and Renewal All of this weekโs devotionals were adapted from devotionals submitted by our very own ministerial team.
