Day 22: Epistles in Motion – Living the Gospel Out Loud📖 James 1:22-25 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein... this man shall be blessed in his deed. 📖 Philippians 2:14-16 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke... among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16 Holding forth the word of life... Being a living epistle means that the gospel doesn’t just live in us—it moves through us. It’s written not only in our hearts but also in our habits, our humility, and our holiness. James reminds us that it's not enough to hear the Word—we must live it. When our actions match our convictions, the world sees the gospel in motion. This is how the Kingdom multiplies: not just through preaching, but through everyday people doing everyday things in the name of Jesus. ✨ When we forgive, we hold forth the Word of life. ✨ When we serve with joy, we shine as lights in the world. ✨ When we live with integrity, we become living proof of God's truth. 📝 Am I merely hearing the Word or living it? 📝 What area of my life is God calling to align more closely with His Word? 📝 How can I let my light shine more boldly in my daily walk? May our lives not be silent letters but epistles in motion—living, breathing reflections of Christ’s love. 🙏 Lenten Prayer: Lord, make me not only a hearer but a doer of Your Word. Let my life put the gospel on display. Write Your truth on my heart—and let the world read it in how I live. Amen. |
