Day 40: The Silence Before the Resurrection๐ Luke 23:56b โ โBut they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.โ
๐ Lamentations 3:26 โ โIt is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.โ Holy Saturdayโthe space between the suffering of Good Friday and the celebration of Resurrection Sunday. It is a day wrapped in silence, waiting, and anticipation. For the disciples, this was a day of confusion, grief, and uncertainty. Jesus was buried. The sky had gone dark. Hope seemed gone. And yet, even in their despair, they obeyed. They rested, not realizing that behind the silence, God was still working. Sometimes, we too live in the โin-between.โ Weโve obeyed. Weโve sacrificed. But resurrection hasnโt arrived yet. The miracle hasnโt materialized. The fruit hasnโt multiplied. But Holy Saturday teaches us that waiting is not wasted. Even when it seems like nothing is happening, God is still moving. Seeds planted in faith often break open in silence, deep beneath the surface, before any sign of life appears. ๐ฑ In the quiet, we are called to:
