Lenten Devotional Series: A Journey of Reflection and Renewal

Day 40: The Silence Before the Resurrection

๐Ÿ“– Luke 23:56b โ€“ โ€œBut they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.โ€
๐Ÿ“– Lamentations 3:26 โ€“ โ€œIt is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.โ€

Holy Saturdayโ€”the space between the suffering of Good Friday and the celebration of Resurrection Sunday. It is a day wrapped in silence, waiting, and anticipation.

For the disciples, this was a day of confusion, grief, and uncertainty. Jesus was buried. The sky had gone dark. Hope seemed gone. And yet, even in their despair, they obeyed. They rested, not realizing that behind the silence, God was still working.

Sometimes, we too live in the โ€œin-between.โ€ Weโ€™ve obeyed. Weโ€™ve sacrificed. But resurrection hasnโ€™t arrived yet. The miracle hasnโ€™t materialized. The fruit hasnโ€™t multiplied.

But Holy Saturday teaches us that waiting is not wasted. Even when it seems like nothing is happening, God is still moving. Seeds planted in faith often break open in silence, deep beneath the surface, before any sign of life appears.

๐ŸŒฑ In the quiet, we are called to:
๐Ÿ“– Trust His Word, even when we donโ€™t understand
๐Ÿ”ฅ Hold onto faith when our feelings waver
โœ๏ธ Anticipate that resurrection power is coming

The silence of Holy Saturday sets the stage for the explosion of glory on Resurrection Sunday. So we waitโ€”not in despair, but in expectation. The stone will roll away. Life will break forth. What was buried will multiply.

๐Ÿ’ญ Reflection:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Am I trusting God even in the silence?
๐Ÿ‘‰ What resurrection am I anticipating by faith?

๐Ÿ™ Prayer: Lord, in the waiting and the quiet, I choose to trust You. Prepare my heart for resurrection. Multiply what was buried in faith, and bring it forth in Your perfect timing. Amen. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

๐ŸŒฟ Week 5 Recap: From Surrender to Resurrection Hope

This week, we followed Jesus through the final steps of His earthly ministryโ€”His obedience, sacrifice, death, and the waiting before resurrection. Through it all, we were reminded that multiplication begins in surrender, grows through faithfulness, and culminates in resurrection power.

โœ… You are positioned for purpose โ€” God placed you right where you are for missional impact ๐ŸŒ
โœ… Obedience leads to overflow โ€” Small acts of surrender prepare the way for greater fruit ๐Ÿ“–
โœ… Endurance matures us โ€” Waiting on Godโ€™s process produces lasting growth and leadership strength ๐Ÿชด
โœ… Peace multiplies influence โ€” In chaos, calm becomes a witness ๐Ÿ’–
โœ… The Cross transforms influence โ€” Jesusโ€™ sacrifice on Good Friday is our model for gospel-centered leadership โœ๏ธ
โœ… In the silence, God is working โ€” Holy Saturday reminds us that seeds planted in faith will rise ๐ŸŒฟ

๐Ÿ’œ As Holy Week concludes, are you prepared to rise into resurrection power and multiply in every area of your life and ministry?

๐Ÿ™ Final Prayer: Lord, thank You for the cross, for the silence, and for whatโ€™s coming next. I trust that resurrection is near. Multiply what has been planted during this Lenten journey, and use my life for Your glory. Amen.

๐Ÿš€ Letโ€™s step into resurrection Sunday with bold expectation, ready to Multiply in 2025! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’œ
