Legal Interpreter Member Section Information

Hello,

Welcome to the RID’s Legal Interpreter Member Section (LIMS). We are a diverse group of RID members who are interested in the field of legal and/or court interpreting. Our goal is to share information as well as create opportunities for networking, dialogue, and professional development.

We have two ways to communicate with each other electronically:

Google Group Email: LIMS@RID.org

The Google group is for sharing one-time informational emails to the membership group.

LIMS Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RIDLIMS/

This is a closed group for members of RID LIMS.

Things to remember when posting to the group:

· Replies to google go to everyone in the group unless you remove the group email address. Please be considerate of other’s email inboxes. All groups are moderated.

· You can moderate how you receive group emails (individually or digest) by logging into your Google accounts. You can also log directly into the group to access the emails.

If you are no longer interested in receiving emails from the Legal Interpreters Member Section (LIMS) or do not want to be a member of the Google Group please follow these steps:

You need to log into your RID member profile. On the left-hand side, you will see a blue box under your name and contact information that says "update member profile".

You will then need to click on "member sections information". You need to make sure that LIMS is not checked! If you leave this box checked you will continue to receive these emails. Even if you use the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email! RID updates the Google group list on a monthly basis. Therefore we cannot unsubscribe you on our end either as you will be added back every month by RID.

LIMS is run by a group of volunteers, thank you for your patience!
