• National Primary Care Week: October 1st through October 7th

National Primary Care Week: 

October 1st marks the beginning of National Primary Care Week! Starting this Monday, five primary care-focused interest groups will host a variety of speakers covering a vast breadth of topics related to this year's theme, Preventative Medicine and Health Maintenance. Join IMIG for FREE lunch on Tuesday, October 3rd and hear Dr. Katz discuss motivational interviewing of patients as an internist. Each scheduled lunch talk is open to all members of the RFUMS community on a first-come, first-serve basis. See flyer for more details!

• Monday, 10/2, 12 PM in East Pod, the Geriatrics and Gerontology Interest Group presents "Aging" with Dr. Goldman. Lunch provided. 
• Tuesday, 10/3 at 12 PM in East Pod, the Internal Medicine Interest Group presents "Motivating Patients to Lead Healthier Lifestyles" with Dr. Katz. Lunch provided!
• Wednesday, 10/4 at 12 PM in HSB 2.710, the Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group presents "Treatment, Prevention, and Reversal" with Dr. Rheault. Lunch provided. 
• Thursday, 10/5 at 12 PM in East Pod, the Family Medicine Interest Group presents "Preventative Medicine" with Dr. Antoo. Snacks provided. 
• Friday, 10/6 at 12 PM in West Pod, the Pediatrics Interest Group presents "Pediatric Medicine and Prevention" with Dr. Oggoian. Lunch provided.

ACP Registration, White Coat Pins, & Raffle: 

Don't forget to register as a member of American College of Physicians (ACP) by registering at www.acponline.org, free of charge! As a member, medical students gain access to amazing clinical support tools such as DynaMed Plus & published material on research, current clinical recommendations, how to excel during rotations, and the perspectives of other medical students.
