Date/Time started: Thursday 8/26 12AM EST
Estimated date/time of resolution: Thursday 8/26 4AM EST
Description: Merit Emergency fiber Maintenance
Member Impact: DSISD districts (except for Gladstone and Manistique), MCISD, DIISD (Except NVAS and FP Districts), MARESA. MISEN Connectivity for all REMC1 WAN and Internet customers
Services Impact: All WAN and Internet services. MISEN access.
Comment: Merit Communications will be doing emergency fiber maintenance on Thursday 8/26 at 12AM EST with a worst case end time of 4AM EST. During this maintenance all Internet and WAN services for these affected agencies will be down: DSISD districts (except for Gladstone and Manistique), MCISD, DIISD (Except NVAS and FP Districts), MARESA. In addition MISEN Connectivity for all REMC1 WAN and Internet customers will be down. As a side note when Merit completes the SEN 2.0 rollout by June of 2022 the new SEN 2.0 will have resiliency to avoid such outages).
