Update: Some Websites Not Loading or Slow to Load

Update: Merit believes they found and issue with a neighboring provider. They disabled routing towards that provider and the feedback has been positive statewide. Testing here seems to show the issue has subsided since their routing change.

Description: Please be advised that you may experience issues accessing some websites.
Member Impact: All REMC1 ISP Members
Services Impact: Network
Comment: Our upstream service provider, Merit, has informed REMC1 of network issues in the Chicago area. Merit and MISEN Internet access are both affected. As a result you may have issues accessing some websites or services, sporadically. There is currently no estimated time to repair as they continue to troubleshoot this issue. We will update with any information we receive from Merit.
