Description: REMC1 is experiencing connectivity issues over MISEN fiber servicing DSISD and MARESA

Member Impact: ALL DSISD and MARESA Districts Except Gladstone and Manistique, NMU EAN

Services Impact: All REMC1 Services including Voice Service

Comment: This issue has been resolved. Merit has ceased their maintenance and will resume during non-peak hours while at the same time ensuring their maintenance will not affect service. We apologize for this unforeseen issue. REMC1 was unaware of the maintenance as Merit felt it would not be service affecting and therefore did not report the maintenance.

REMC1 is currently experiencing connectivity issues via two MISEN fiber links servicing MARESA, DSISD and NMU EAN. REMC1 is working with Merit to locate and fix the issue. Internet and connectivity to REMC1 services will be degraded until the issue is discovered and repaired. There is no ETR at this time.
