Description: Please be advised of a significant chance of internet service outages during this scheduled timeframe.
Member Impact: All REMC Members
Services Impact: Internet Connectivity
Comment: Our upstream service provider, Merit Networks, will be performing maintenance to dark fiber in St Ignace that occupies the same buffer tubes as live strands that service the REMC1 Network core. Given the nature of the work being done, there is a significant risk of an internet outage during the maintenance window, though it is not a planned outage.
