Hi Education Committee, 

Thank you for another great meeting! Recapping what we discussed:

• Reviewed updated language for the Bin Grant
• Notable changes include:
• Expanded accepted materials list to include common curbside recyclables
• Adjusted impact language to be a percentage of student body, and materials collected per student versus total students, and total weight collected.
• Next steps:
• Alex will adjust language to include:
• Requirement of itemized list of materials needed for program success
• Mention of TELA ceremony invitation (Nov 2026)
• Mention that STAR is available to support application completion
• Adrian and Alex will follow up with H-E-B- to ensure their alignment with our timeline and parameters
  
  
• Discussed webinar series
• Identified Hazardous Waste Disposal as next topic, scheduled for October
• Identified topics and potential speakers to follow through February
• Next steps:
• Alex will reach out to the identified speakers to get them on the schedule and will follow up with group as we progress
  
  
• Discussed need for interim Chair from Oct-Dec
• Alex will send separate email to clearly define responsibilities, and ask the Committee for volunteers. 
•  I will also ensure to leave Bin Grant and webinar series sufficiently planned, so responsibilities focus on meeting coordination, and project managing key milestones pertaining to both initiatives
