Hi Membership Development Committee!

Thank you so much for a wonderful and productive meeting. I am very excited to work with this group. 

Meeting Summary:
  • Reviewed and workshopped the Framework for Hosting Events document. Focused on developing initiatives for recruitment, nurturing and development. 
  • Determined we want to focus recruitment efforts by roles, such as sustainability officers, waste directors, operation managers, legislators and elected officials.
  • In order to effectively target roles, we will start a Persona workshop to clearly identify:
    • Target role and assign names
    • Main pain points
    • Key benefits based on pain points
    • Mentorship or "cross-pollination" opportunities
  • Committee will also create and send out survey to current membership to identify key benefits and opportunities for improvement. 
Next Steps:
  • Please review the Framework for Hosting Events document by this Friday, August 9th and add your thoughts and comments. We will finish workshopping virtually and share the final document with the Events Committee. 
  • Please add your questions about membership benefits and opportunities for improvement to this document before our next meeting.
  • Meet again next Monday, August 12th at 1:30pm. We will review the survey questions and start working on a persona workshop. Link: meet.google.com/vzh-gpsj-mnx

About the survey, my intention was to target the current membership to gather feedback on what is working and what could be improved. Is that correct, or should we focus on a survey for new members?

Alex,

I am so impressed with your grasp of how to manage technology.  I am worried that I pressed share when I finished reviewing the "Framework" document and perhaps that was a role you were supposed to have.   I did not press share on the Survey so I am not sure you have my comments.   Also, on the Survey I erased a line and put in what I thought I would like to see.   Not sure that was appropriate either.    

Looking forward to Monday's meeting.   I do have to leave by 2:35 typically.  So, if folks are open to starting at 1:15, sometime in the future - that would be great.
