Richmond Amateur Telecommunications Society EXTRA! EXTRA! November 21, 2025 Inside this email: Special Contest Event! Holiday Party Special Contest Event! The North American Single Side Band Sprint for the fall is TOMORROW November 22nd from 7pm to 11pm. RATS will be hosting a get together with radios and community at Windy Hill Sports Complex in the parking lot. You won't miss us! While you can bring your own food, we would love to show Windy Hill some support by purchasing food and drinks from them. They are very supportive of the local ham radio community and don't charge us for the use of their space, so let's give them a boost! The location is 16500 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA 23113. RATS members will be setting up shortly before 7pm and will be staying through the end of the contest at 11pm. Holiday Party Join us for an evening of holiday cheer at Buzz & Ned's as RATS comes together to celebrate the season and the end of the year! It's the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow radio enthusiasts, swap stories from the year, and enjoy good food and great company. The menu for this event includes pork & chicken BBQ, slaw, potato salad, baked beans, and rolls. Registration is required and can be found here. Tickets are $25 per person and are due by 11:55pm on December 2nd so that we can get the final headcount to Buzz & Ned's. The ticket price goes directly to the holiday party, but during the checkout process you will be given the opportunity to send an end-of-year general donation directly to RATS. Zeffy charges zero processing fees, so we receive 100% of your donations.
