RATS Members:

There's still plenty of time to come see us at Laurel Park for the Virginia QSO Party.  We've got two of the club's HF radios on the air, using an 80-meter loop over the field and N4WLC's vertical.  The weather's great, the bands are sounding good, and we'll be here all evening.  Come see us!  If you can't make it out tonight, we'll be back on the air for a few hours in the morning, too.

Laurel Park is at 10301 Hungary Spring Rd in western Henrico.  That's near the intersection of Parham and Staples Mill Roads, the same place we go for Summer Field Day every year.

GPS users are often taken to the Laurel Skate Park, which is part of this county facility, but not exactly where you want to be for RATS activities.  As noted on the map below, park in the lot next to our shelter - not at the skate park.

We hope to see you there!

As of 10:00 PM Saturday evening, RATS has shut down the W4RAT VA QSO Party station at Laurel Park.  Equipment is being packed up and will be returned to storage.  We will not be reactivating this station tomorrow.

The VA QSO Party continues until midnight tonight, and then 8 AM to 8 PM tomorrow.  You are encouraged to participate from home, in the car, wherever you happen to be.

Thank you to everyone who came out to join us today.  Special thanks to those who helped make this event possible through donations, setup/tear-down help, equipment transport, and planning.

Currently, the next big club activity on our calendar is Summer Field Day at Laurel Park in late June.
