Hello PYSF Parents and Sailors--

I hope this email finds you well.  We have been busy in our "downtime" and are excited for the upcoming season!  This month we have held three clinics so far.  We have an Opti Clinic this weekend and will have a High School Clinic the following weekend.  We have a number of sailors in Florida racing in the I420
North American Championship currently.  And on Feb 1-2 we will be hosting a high school regatta!  All before the season begins!!  Please see the reminders below.  And make sure to sync with our CALENDAR so you can stay up-to-date!  I look forward to seeing you all soon.  Go PY!!!  --Molly

Registration
Spring Registration closes on January 24th.  Please make sure to get yourself registered before then!  Here is a LINK to the class schedule.  Practice begins February 5th.

Info Nights
We will be having two Info Nights before the season begins.  Both will be at Sequoia Yacht Club from 6-7:30pm.  Wednesday, January 29th will be for all of our classes, specifically the Introductory class and High School Race Team.  All High Schools sailing out of PYSF this season must have at least one representative present.  Friday, January 31st will be for our Opti and 420 Race Teams.  All are welcome to attend either meeting.  This is a great chance to meet the other sailors, coaches, parents and to ask questions before the season begins.

Hosting Regatta Feb 1-2
As I mentioned above, we are hosting two High School Regattas the first weekend of February.  NorCal 1-Day #5 and #6.  We will need help on land with check-in, food, etc.  We will also need some help on the water with moving marks, taking scores, etc.  Please let me know if you can help by signing up HERE.

Fundraising Opportunities
PYSF thrives because of your support.  We are always looking for ways to increase our impact on youth in the sport and have a few opportunities that will also help you!
  • Next month we are lucky to have Dave Perry here to speak to our community.  Tuesday evening, February 25th from 5:30-9pm we will have dinner, a presentation by Dave (always entertaining and educational!) and a raffle.  Mark your calendars.  You really do not want to miss this!!! (I've attached a flyer with more info).
  • We are lucky to have Giselle Nyenhuis as a friend and supporter of PYSF as well!  Giselle is an amazing photographer (and sailor) that has been donating proceeds from her photo shoots with PYSF.  She will be in the Bay Area shooting PYSF families May 1-3.  Please contact her to book your window.  (A flyer is also attached).
