Dear PY Opti Families,

I have added two links below for the shared PYSF Drive as well as a sheet in that drive for the travel logistics for opti nationals.  In the sheet for opti nationals I break down all the things to think about for travel logistics to Norfolk from getting there to chartering a boat.  As always if you have questions please reach out to me.

Schedule
Arrival Day July 22nd
Charter Boat checkin and 1st practice July 23rd
Practice July 24 and 25 - Lisa sailing Girls Nationals!
Nationals July 26-29

Parent Leadership:  I have created some leadership roles for parents to help the team organize and have a successful trip.  Please sign up for the role that works best for you.  We will need help being organized and getting all the moving parts going in the same direction.

Charter boats:  I talked with Bob Adam today and Zim has boats available, I believe others will have boats available too.  I have listed the companies that charter with their charter link below:

All of these companies are good companies with good people to help you.  I recommend them all.  Simmons will have Winner Optimists, Zim and McLaughlin each carry their own brands.

You want to be able to pick up your charter on the morning of July 23rd.

You can decide how much you want to charter.  I would suggest at the very least chartering the hull and spars.  Blades, you can decide what you want to do, either bring your own or charter.  Sails you will most likely want to bring your own unless you want to buy a new sail through these companies for the regatta.

I’m really excited for the team to travel to this event! It should be a great experience!

John
