Hi.

I'm the author of a distribution provider that uses/depends upon Py4j for Java<->Python osgi remote services.

Years ago, there was an issue opened to support unix sockets (for security and performance). Since that time, Java 16+ supports unix sockets.

In the time since 2021, has anyone made the modifications to Py4j to support unix sockets?

Assuming no to previous question, would there be interest/resources among the project committers if I offer to contribute back an implementation?
