I'm in Product Management at Puppet and I'm looking for a few folks to talk to about challenges they have provisioning cloud infrastructure. Would anyone be willing to have a short discussion with me about this?

Thank you in advance!

I don't do much cloud provisioning with Puppet, so I don't know how useful I'd be.

Hi Jed,

What do you refer to by saying “provisioning cloud infrastructure”?
- On-premise (VMware, openstack, open nebula,…) or public cloud (AWS, GCE, Azure, Rackspace, Hetzner, ...)?
- Initial VM management installation only, with initial configuration or also management of Access, Zones, Networks, Templates, VMs running?

Best,
Martin

I mean more full stack, cloud native, ephemeral infrastructure for stateless applications. Not so much the long lived hybrid cloud “hypervisor 3.0” use of the cloud which isn’t terribly different than what is done with VMware.
