Hello Venusians!

 

Hopefully everyone received the email about the upcoming VEXAG annual meeting, to be held November 5-8  in Niagara Fall, New York.  You can find out more information about the meeting here:  https://www.lpi.usra.edu/vexag/meetings/vexagnov2025/

 

The meeting organizers are currently trying to gauge interests in possible field trips associated with the meeting.  Two trips are being considered:

1. Possible half-day field trip Wednesday morning (5 Nov) to Niagara Falls and the Niagara Gorge. Depending on interest and abilities, this could be done entirely on foot, or we could go a bit further afield and also visit Whirlpool State Park to see what happens when glaciers meet isostatic rebound.
2. Full-day trip on Saturday, 8 Nov, exploring Western New York tectonics and ending at a local vineyard (possibly on the Finger Lakes, possibly on the Lake Erie or lake Ontario shores) for a wine tasting.
