Today's Meeting

Hi everyone,

The meeting minutes from today can be found in the Textiles Lab google drive folder. Below are a few items that I would like to share:

1. Warming Tree Series - Rae produced a nice proposal for a series of group sewing sessions in which 4-6 individuals with sewing skills will work together to produce cold weather jackets, vests, and similar items to be donated to Stitches Alterations and Needlework, in Rochester, which will then donate them to the community and those in need. Rae will provide all patterns and materials and technical oversight. The series is proposed to occur every Saturday in January from 9am to 1pm.

2. Capital budget requests - Rae and I were unable to identify any shop needs that exceed the current shop budget. If anyone can think of anything that would fall into this category, please share so we can discuss.

3. Mirror and coat hooks - I am going to pick up the coat hooks and fasteners to secure the mirror tomorrow morning. If anyone is around or available tomorrow, Monday, between 10 am and noon to assist installing, that would be great.
