Reschedule Auto/Bike shop meeting

Hi everyone. Could we change the day and/or time of the auto/bike shop monthly meeting?

Meeting Mon or Tues would be better for me. A different Wed in the month could also help. Thurs and Fri are not great. Is there a greater Makerspace meeting calendar we should coordinate with?

It's a google calendar that shows meetings set up in google calendar, as well as events from Eventbrite.

I'm open to any time (except Mondays). Does anyone else have a preference? I'd love to see more people able to make it.

Additionally, if people show up, the shop can order pizza. ;)

Hey all,

Just following up about meeting times for the Auto and Bike Shop. Is anyone out there interested in moving these meetings? 

Tuesday the 15th is open if that works for you Chris. If nobody else responds, how do you feel about moving it to the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6?

Our usual meeting time was today, so Peter and I met briefly. We did a couple things in the shop. Someone had written "ratcheting wrenches" on the whiteboard, which we had in the red tool chest, so we hung those up on the pegboard.

I was also considering making it easier for people to feel motivated by planning a work session for the shop. Rather than just a meeting, we have a plan or project and knock it out, and eat some pizza after. Painting the floor sounded like a popular idea, maybe we could plan a few sessions to tackle that some weekend this month. Any takers?

Thanks for proposing a new date and time.  The 3rd Tue at 6 pm might be good for me long term but there's a chance I can't do it this month.  Let's keep it open for input from others.  I put 8/15/23 on my calendar for now.

 

A combined meeting and project work sounds good.  A project recommendation:  Move unnecessary things out of the bike shop and from outside of its garage door.  This will make the bay easier to pull a car in to, thus more likely to be used for non-lift work.

Hi Auto and Bike Shop members.  We're having a meeting tonight 8/15/23 at 6 pm.  We'll discuss current concerns and start working to make more space inside and outside of the bike shop.  Come by if you can.
