Aloha e, outrigger canoe clubs and paddling community!
Congratulations to everyone who competed at the Gorge Outrigger Canoe Race this past weekend, and good luck to all those competing in Downwind Champs this week!
Seattle Outrigger Canoe Club is excited to host another year of
Da Grind on
Saturday, July 26th! We have attendance confirmation of quite a few clubs for all 3 of our events and look forward to another great day.
- ❗ACTION REQUESTED❗: Please reply to this email to confirm your club's attendance and an estimated of number of crews in each event. It will help us a bit with our planning.
- REGISTRATION: Please check out the
Da Grind web page for information and downloadable race packets/registration and waivers. Note that each paddler must have a
signed waiver and each OC-6 crew needs only one
registration form. Check or Venmo accepted.
- 4-MILE COURSE: By popular demand, we will start the day with the 4-mile course.
BRING THE KEIKI CREWS! This low-wind/current triangle course is perfect for the keiki, na opio, novice crews, OC1/2, Surfski and SUP (or anyone that just wants a fun, short race)! We will stagger the start by 5 minutes for the SUPs to go after the canoes to reduce congestion.
- YEAH... WE GET SHIRTS. Included in your registration. Designed by our very own Dave Wong (our newest SOCC papa).
