Bellingham Bay Outrigger Paddlers (BBOP) and Autumn Rose Canoe Club (ARCC) want to express our deepest, heartfelt gratitude to every single one of you who came out to support our clubs and help keep outrigger racing alive and thriving here in the PNW. We are so grateful for this community.
What an interesting day it was, weather-wise! But everything worked out beautifully in our favor, and we were able to run the original race course as planned we couldn't be more thankful for that.
A very special thank you to Autumn for so generously opening her land to us, partnering with BBOP, and allowing us to race on sacred ground. It made this race truly meaningful. And this race was extra special: 50% of the proceeds will go directly toward supporting the ARCC youth crews as they head to Singapore. Simply by showing up and racing, every one of you helped invest in the future of outrigger paddling thank you for that gift. On top of it all, this was the biggest turnout BBOP has ever had since we started hosting races, and that is entirely thanks to this incredible community.
We hope everyone had a wonderful time, and we are already looking forward to seeing you at the next race ! Results are attached and will be posted on our website. (If there are any discrepancies let me know.
