Aloha e David,

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I have been down with a nasty virus.

Please reach out to the Race Director for each event to register so they know how to fill the heats.  The registration forms are usually sent out via an email to the PNWORCA membership.  Sometimes they combine ages to fill the course so it is very helpful to sign up for everything you qualify for and they will sort it out. They don't usually know exactly how to do that until race day.

Payment methods are specific to each event.  Most of the time Sprint race payments are done onsite on the day of the event.  I suggest you bring cash or checks.  They may have other options but those two are always welcome.

Yes, all the races are on Saturdays.

The old dates may still be on the PNWORCA website.  If the Race Directors send updated information to our webmaster, he does update the site. I don't have access to make changes to it (thank goodness).

I hope you find this helpful.  Best of luck on your journey to the Singapore Sprints.

Hi, I'm hoping you can help me.  I have qualified for Singapore in V-1 (70+) as V-6 and V-12.  I live on San Juan Island so I don't have a racing club.  My hope is to race as many V-1 sprint events as possible at Spanaway, Greenlake and Silverlake but the only registration forms on line seem to be for 2025.  So here are my questions:

1) Are all these races on SATURDAY even though the date on the registration forms is different?

2) It looks like I need to register in advance but there doesn't seem like there is a way to pay in advance.  Is there some updated registration link I am just not finding? Or do I register with last years forms and pay on site?

3) Since I am training for Singapore I want to race as many races as possible (up to six including heats etc at each race).  My understanding is I can race DOWN in age group but it is not clear what the age groups will be.  Can I just send a note to each race organizer requesting registration in 70, 60, 50? Or how can I determine what brackets there will be?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Just to add to what Cris provided. The race dates at PNWORCA.org are correct. Each clubs race director puts out the race packet with registration forms and payment methods. The Spanaway packet is out and on the Facebook PNWORCA page.

Race directors set the heats by the number of participants so likely V1 age groups will be combined.

Thanks for the reply. I have reached out to the three races I'll be able to attend. Hope you're feeling better. I had a bug myself for about a week. Cheers- David

Hello PNWORCA club reps,

BBOP has a question for you about your club’s registration/practice signup systems. BBOP has been using TeamSnap for the past seven years, and before that we used Team Cowboy.
Team Snap has been great, but they just changed their interface this year, and it has become extremely clunky for us.

Do you have a system that you would recommend? We have about 150 members across 4 programs (competitive, recreational, novice, and keiki), so we need something that is versatile.

Thank you for your advice!

Sue DeBari
