Question Re: The Gorge Race

Can anyone tell me if it would be permissible to run a mixed crew in each direction of the race?

From my research, women and mixed paddle Stevenson to Drano Lake, then the men take the canoes from Drano to Bingen Harbor.  Any exceptions allowed?
