Annual Prayer Vigil to Be Held

As in many previous years, the Prayer Vigil will be held on Saturday, April 4. This is truly a time to connect with your faith on the day before the Easter celebration. If you have not previously participated, we strongly urge you to consider doing so. After the solemnity and deep introspection of the Lenten season, the Prayer Vigil is a wonderful way to begin the joyousness of Christ’s resurrection.

Here is how the Vigil works: It is an 12-hour event wherein individuals, couples, friends, or families spend 1/2-hour time periods in the quietness of the sanctuary being in prayer, Bible reading, or personal reflection. It is truly a time to feel the closeness of the Holy Spirit and prepare for Jesus’ resurrection the following day. We also need “co-ordinators” to fill 2-hour time periods by sitting in the Youth Room and making sure that the Vigil runs smoothly. There you will also find materials which can aid you in your Vigil participation.

Again, we whole-heartedly encourage you to participate in this event. A sign-up chart will be posted on the Secretary’s Office window. To make this a true ‘vigil’, we need a continuous flow of participants. Should you have any questions, please see Lois Haldeman. We hope to see you there.

Thanks,
 Bev
