Hello Speech and Hearing Friends!
NSSLHA is thrilled to announce our next upcoming event, Sarah Bellum’s Cupcake Workshop! We’ve partnered with the folks at Sarah Bellum’s Bakery & Workshop to offer members a unique opportunity to learn about the bakery and its mission, meet one of their longtime bakers, and spend some time in the kitchen!
When: Thursday, March 5th, 5-7pm
Where: 7828 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland, OR 97219
Sarah Bellum's Bakery & Workshop is a community-based functional rehabilitation program that was founded by our SPHR department's very own Dr. Rik Lemoncello. The organization’s mission is to support adults with acquired brain injuries transition back into meaningful work through baking delicious cupcakes! According to the organization’s website, they focus on developing “functional, job-ready social, cognitive, and physical skills to assist with ongoing development and rehabilitation in a functional, real-world setting”.
Important! Spots are limited to 8 attendees due to space constraints!
How to claim your spot: email us at nss...@pdx.edu or respond to this email and state that you would like to attend! We will respond to confirm your spot, or to let you know if you’ve been added to the waitlist. We will send out a mass email once all the spots have been filled.
