Hello Speech and Hearing Adventurers!
NSSLHA is excited to announce our new and nerdy upcoming event: Group Therapy Dungeons and Dragons night with your Dungeon Master Juan Polanco Palacios!
When: Tuesday, April 28th 3:00-6:00pm
Where: University Center Building Room 425 D
When people imagine speech therapy they might think of a sterile clinical room with a desk and structured exercises, however I invite you to think about how practicing your voice doesn’t have to “feel” like therapy at all. This is why we are diving into speech therapy and fun with Dungeons and Dragons. Come find out how a table top RPG can be an avenue for fun learning and skills practice in a fun new environment using your imagination.
Cast spells and roll dice to vanquish the forces of evil! Not an avid Dungeons and Dragons player? That’s ok!!! We will be taking a deep dive into a new type of roleplaying experience through which we can use our love for games and role playing to help center therapy to learn, grow, and connect while having fun!
What to know: Dice are welcome but will also be provided. Character sheets will be prefilled, and provided using supplemental critical core. Pizza and Drinks will be provided!
