Hello all,
It is with a bitter sweetness that I share the news of an upcoming transition within our department. After nearly 13 years of dedicated service, Professor, Postsecondary, Adult, and Continuing Education, Dr. Karen Haley, Ed.D, a cherished member of our team, will be embarking on a new journey as she enters retirement.
Karen has been a steadfast pillar of our department and the PACE program since September 2011, serving as a faculty member, past program coordinator in the PACE program, and a committee connoisseur.
Karen is particularly renowned and admired for her student-centered mentoring approach, which has been instrumental in guiding and inspiring countless individuals within our community. Additionally, her invaluable contributions to the doctoral program have deeply supported students who will go on to make their own contributions to academia for years to come. Karen's mentorship will impact generations of learners, long after her departure from the College of Education.
As Karen sets sail on this new adventure, we extend our heartfelt gratitude and admiration for her unwavering dedication and outstanding service! Please join me in congratulating Karen on her retirement and expressing our sincerest appreciation for her remarkable contributions to our department and commendable service to every student who has had the chance to work with her, myself included.
