Hey all,

My name is Madeline Frisk (she/her) and I work here at PSU as the SALP Coordinator of Student Government Relations & Advisor to Greek Life and I am a 2021 PACE: ELP alumna.

I wanted to share with you all that I will be participating in a virtual panel for NASPA for Careers in Student Affairs Month with the New Professionals & Graduate Students (NPGS) steering committee called  "Managing Up: Developing Workplace Confidence as a New Professional" on October 13th from 12-1 pm (this event isn't listed yet but will be soon) but that there also are a whole bunch of other events too that may be of interest to PACE students wanting to work on some skill building and to meet other new & emerging student affairs folks from other campuses.

NASPA considers less than 5 years experience to be a new or emerging professional so for those this applies to this may be a helpful resource.

Some of the events besides the panel I'm on include:
  • Finding Your Third Place: A Journey in Making Authentic Connections as an Emerging Professional
  • Building Your Brand for Success as a New Professional
  • Speed Networking Island: A Virtual Networking Mixer for Emerging Professionals
Here is the website with more information and I'd encourage folks to check this out if it feels helpful: https://learning.naspa.org/2025careers-in-student-affairs-month

Hope to see some of you there!
