Good afternoon, ELP community,

Did you know that many students complete the requirements for one or more graduate certificates while working toward their MS degree in Educational Leadership & Policy (ELP)?

ELP currently offers four graduate certificates with course requirements that can be counted toward both your MS degree and the certificate requirements:

  • Training & Development Graduate Certificate
  • Teaching Adult Learners Graduate Certificate
  • Student Affairs in Higher Education Graduate Certificate
  • Service Learning in Higher Education Graduate Certificate*

An extra credential never hurts! Please note that each graduate certificate requires a $35 application for graduation, which must be submitted by the first Friday of the term of graduation.

If you'd like us to review your student history to determine if you're eligible for a graduate certificate alongside your MS degree—or if you're close to meeting the requirements—please feel free to reach out to me or your advisor for support!

If you're ready to formally add a certificate to your admission status please reach out to elpa...@pdx.edu for direct support.

* The Service Learning in Higher Education Graduate Certificate program is no longer admitting new students, however certificates will still issued for those who have met or are completing requirements.

Warmly,

Cole
