DURATION: 10/9/2025 at 8:30:00 AM to 10/10/2025 at 4:00:00 PM
PROJECT INFORMATION: The City of Portland will be conducting fire alarm and sprinkler inspections in the 1900 Building (City Tower), which is adjacent to the Fourth Avenue Building (FAB) and Engineering building (EB).
This testing will require audio visual testing to ensure the horns and light strobes are functioning properly. Horns and strobes may be heard and seen periodically from FAB and EB, but will not be directly in PSU space.
The City's fire life safety system will be placed on test and bypass. Fire watch will be scheduled until after the scope of work is completed. You may notice individuals walking through the City building repeatedly to check for safety.
PROJECT BENEFITS: Testing will ensure the operational condition of the City building's fire life safety systems.
IMPACT: Horns and strobe lights in the City Tower space may be audible and visible in adjacent FAB and EB spaces, but only for a few minutes at each device.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: Individuals with sensitivity to noise and/or flashing lights may be impacted during this testing and may need to relocate for brief periods of time.
