LOCATION: Cramer Hall (CH).
DURATION: 3/23/2026 from 6:30:00 AM to 12:00:00 PM
PROJECT INFORMATION: The PSU In-house Construction crew will be drilling two holes into a concrete wall within an unoccupied room in the Northwest corner of the 3rd floor. Audible noise and vibration impacts will extend to the Northwest corner of the 2nd floor (below) and 4th floor (above). This work is required for plumbing installations related to the improvements for the new Judaic Studies and CLAS Admin spaces.
PROJECT BENEFITS: This project supports the renovation and modernization of the Judaic Studies and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) Administrative offices, providing updated facilities for students and faculty.
IMPACT: -Periodic Loud Noise: Intermittent loud noise will occur during the drilling process. Because noise travels through the building's concrete structure, it will be clearly audible on the 3rd floor and the 2nd and 4th floors directly above and below the work site.
-Vibration: Occupants in the Northwest quadrant of the building may feel localized vibrations while drilling is active.
-Safety & Dust Control: Work will be performed in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. General access will be prohibited in the immediate work area.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: No building entrances or ADA access routes are blocked. However, due to the high noise levels expected in the Northwest corridor and stairwell, individuals sensitive to noise are encouraged to use the central elevators and stairwells as an alternative route.
