LOCATION: Smith Memorial Student Union (SMSU)

DURATION: 6/16/2026 to 6/26/2026 from 7:00:00 AM to 5:00:00 PM

PROJECT INFORMATION: The SMSU Critical Infrastructure Project - HVAC and Elevator Upgrades, will replace the SF-1, SF-4 and SF-12 Heating Ventilation and Cooling systems serving the east half of Smith Memorial Student Union and modernize Elevators 6, 7 & 15. Upcoming work activities: Repair basement corridor C3 & C4 ceiling, including plaster skimcoating, and painting.

PROJECT BENEFITS: To replace critical building equipment that is beyond their useful life and which will improve the efficiency and reliability of the the building's HVAC and Elevators.

IMPACT: The Smith Memorial Student Union, Critical Maintenance project, has identified the need to work in and around the Basement Hallway C3 and C4 that will cause short term impacts to users and through traffic. Detour signage will be posted during these impacts as necessary.

ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: Signage posted will outline the closed locations and the rooms impacted.
