UPCOMING IMPACT NOTICE

LOCATION: Fourth Avenue Building (FAB)

DURATION: 12/15/2025 to 12/18/2025

PROJECT INFORMATION: 2025 Annual Fire Sprinkler and Alarm Testing, per NFPA requirements. A contractor, Western States, will be on-site to test the fire alarm system.

12/15-12/18, 8:00am-4:00pm: Fire system will be put into test and bypass horn strobes. Contractor will test fire alarm panel functions, wet/dry fire sprinkler systems, and university power supply. System will be restored after testing.

12/18, 7:30am-10:00pm: Fire system will be put into test and bypass horn strobes. Elevator recall testing will occur from 8am-10am. Horn/strobe testing will occur after 7pm.

PROJECT BENEFITS: To ensure the building fire detection, notification, and suppression systems are operating as designed and compliant with code requirements.

IMPACT: 12/15 - 12/18: There will be no horn/strobes during this time and the work should go unnoticed by the building occupants. Contractors will be accessing rooms in FAB.

12/18:

- 7:30am-4:00pm: Intermittent delays in elevator service from 8:00am-10:00am. There will be no horn/strobes during this time and the work should go unnoticed by the building occupants. Contractor will be accessing rooms in FAB.

- 7:00pm-10:00pm: Horn/strobes will be heard and seen throughout the building. Contractors will be accessing rooms in FAB.

ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: Elevator Recall Testing is scheduled to start Thursday, 12/18 at 8:00AM, occupants will experience some interruptions of elevator services until 10am. Visual & audible alarm testing is scheduled for Thursday night, 12/18 from 7:00pm to 10:00p. These alarms will be seen & heard from inside and outside the building.
