PROJECT BENEFITS: To replace critical building equipment that is beyond their useful life and which will improve the efficiency and reliability of the the building's HVAC and Elevator systems.
IMPACT: See attached plans showing locations of impacts.
- During SF-12 shutdown, No mechanical heating, ventilation, or cooling will be directly supplied to affected spaces. During SF-3 & SF-5 shutdown, no cooling will be directly supplied to affected spaces(M103, M104, M105, CH/SMSU Enclosed Skybridge, 400 Dreamer Center). Users of these spaces may experience elevated temperatures and uncomfortable conditions at times.
- Abatement activities will be performed during off hours (9pm- 6am) to minimize impacts to occupants. Containment barriers (plastic sheeting) will be erected in prior to abatement work. Temporary scaffolding installation is scheduled for Fridays 4/10-5/2, 7am-10am. During this time, workers, materials, and equipment will be moving through adjacent spaces, and there may be periods of general construction noise (metal hammering and banging, etc.)
