LOCATION: Cramer Hall - Lounges on 1st, 2nd, and 4th floors
DURATION: 7/14/21- 7/16/21
PROJECT INFORMATION: This project updates the following Cramer Hall Lounges: lounges 143, 207, 235, 407, and 435, located on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th floors of the building. These upgrades will include installing new carpet, upgraded lighting, multiple electrical outlets w/ integrated USB ports, plus the removal of the existing outdated furniture followed by the installation of new furniture. Therefore, the only remaining task is the installation of new furniture.
PROJECT BENEFITS: In conclusion, this project will provide students with the ability to study in a comfortable and safe environment that's equipped with the data/power utilities necessary for students to conduct their studies. Each of these well-lit lounge spaces provides a safe and pleasant area for students.
IMPACT: While furniture is being delivered to lounges 143, 207, 235, 407, and 435, access to these rooms will be restricted. The doors connecting the adjoining suites to the lounges will be secured shut to prohibit accidental faculty and student entrance into the construction zone. In doing so, signage will be installed indicating the closure with an alternate exit path clearly identified. Also, there may be some intermittent noises generated from this project.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: There will be no general accessibility impacts as hallways will be kept clear and free. However, each of the lounges will be closed during furniture delivery.
