LOCATION: Engineering Building (EB)
DURATION: 3/23/2026 to 3/27/2026
PROJECT INFORMATION: An excavation crew will be on-site to excavate and replace a damaged fire water line serving the Engineering building. This work is necessary to ensure the building's fire suppression systems remain fully operational and compliant with safety regulations.
PROJECT BENEFITS: This work will replace a damaged fire water line that is currently leaking. Replacing the pipe will stop the leak and ensure the continued reliability of the building's fire protection system.
IMPACT: Noise/Vibration: Occupants should expect noise and vibrations from excavation equipment and jack hammering during work hours.
Area Closure: The sidewalk immediately adjacent to the work zone will be closed to pedestrian traffic. A map is attached showing the area affected and the route around the sidewalk closure.
Entrance Closure: The west entrance to Hawaiian Express will be closed for the duration of the project. The North entrance of Hawaiian Express will remain open and accessible.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: The sidewalk will be closed for the duration of the project. Attached is a map showing the detour around the work site. In addition, there will be signage redirecting foot traffic around the work side.
