PROJECT INFORMATION: UPDATED - The two main building Air Handling Units (AHU-01 & 02) will be fully replaced as a part of this project. This project will have multiple impacts throughout it's duration that include three crane picks, brief electrical shut downs and impacts to the building's Heating Ventilation and Cooling Systems (HVAC). Future impact notices will be sent out to communicate all project impacts as they come up and in greater detail.
10/24 - AHU-01 shut down, connection and start-up of temporary heating and ventilation equipment.
AHU-01 provides HVAC for floors: Lower Parking, Upper Parking, 1st Floor, 2nd Floor, 3rd Floor and 8th Floor
PROJECT BENEFITS: To replace two aging Air Handler Units that are beyond their useful life. This project will improve occupant comfort by improving airflow, making the building's HVAC system more reliable and maintainable.
IMPACT: -Friday 10/24, 9am-1pm AHU-01 shut down, connection and start-up of temporary heating and ventilation equipment. During the shut down, AHU-01 Lower Parking, Upper Parking, 1st Floor, 2nd Floor, 3rd Floor and 8th Floor will not be provided with heating and cooling, until the temporary heating and ventilation unit is started up (1:00pm). Users may experience cooler temperatures at these times, and should consider bringing additional clothing layers.
It is anticipated that it could some time (1-2 weeks) to get the temporary controls properly tuned. Users may expect fluctuations in temperature during this time.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: Elevator 80 will be unavailable during short periods of time, and building users will need to use an alternative elevator.
