PROJECT INFORMATION: UPDATED - The two main building Air Handling Units (AHU-01 & 02) will be fully replaced as a part of this project. This project will have multiple impacts throughout it's duration that include three crane picks, brief electrical shut downs and impacts to the building's Heating Ventilation and Cooling Systems (HVAC). Future impact notices will be sent out to communicate all project impacts as they come up and in greater detail.
CONSTRUCTION NOISE: 10/31 Hydraulic concrete saw cutting
PROJECT BENEFITS: To replace two aging Air Handler Units that are beyond their useful life. This project will improve occupant comfort by improving airflow, making the building's HVAC system more reliable and maintainable.
IMPACT: Contractor will be cutting concrete mechanical isolation pad for for demolition and removal. The concrete sawing inside the penthouse, and the gas powered pump for the hydraulic saw, located exterior on the 9th floor roof, will generate construction noise & vibration, that may impact users, especially for those located on the 9th floor of the building.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: Elevator 80 will be unavailable during short periods of time, and building users will need to use an alternative elevator.
