LOCATION: South Park Blocks (PBX)
DURATION: 6/11/2026 from 5:00:00 AM to 1:00:00 PM
PROJECT INFORMATION: Capital Projects and Construction will be replacing 27 storm drain covers located throughout the South Park Blocks pedestrian pathways. This routine infrastructure maintenance ensures the campus stormwater system remains functional and safe.
PROJECT BENEFITS: Replacing these older covers eliminates potential tripping hazards for pedestrians and improves the overall safety, durability, and drainage efficiency of our outdoor campus walkways.
IMPACT: - Pedestrian Traffic: While the South Park Blocks will remain open, specific sections of the pathways will be cordoned off dynamically as crews move from cover to cover.
- Noise: Expect intermittent, localized construction noise (such as clanging, heavy lifting, and tool use) in the immediate vicinity of the work areas.
- Safety Boundaries: For your safety, please maintain a distance from marked work zones and follow all posted directional signage.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: - Pathway Restrictions: The replacement of these drain covers will temporarily block portions of the main pedestrian walkways.
- Alternative Routes: Fully accessible detours around active work zones will be maintained on adjacent pathways at all times.
