LOCATION: Richard and Maurine Neuberger Center (RMNC)
DURATION: 9/27/2025 from 5:30:00 AM to 6:00:00 PM
PROJECT INFORMATION: A flooring contractor will be applying a new coating to the access/egress ADA ramp, located on the western exterior of the Richard and Maurine Neuberger Center. This coating will protect the concrete portion of the ADA ramp from weather deterioration and the constant foot traffic. The coating material being applied will produce an odor. Please ensure all operable windows remain closed over the upcoming weekend. As commercial chemicals will be used on this project, you may contact the listed Project Manager to obtain Safety Data Sheets for chemicals to be used in the area.
PROJECT BENEFITS: This project will protect the concrete portion of the exterior ADA ramp, helping to ensure it will last for many years to come.
IMPACT: The products being applied will produce odors that will be most prominent on the exterior of the west side of the building, where the ADA ramp is located. The air intake system to the building will be decommissioned during the scheduled work activities to minimize odors inside the building. The work has been scheduled on a Saturday to minimize project impacts to building occupants.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: The exterior ADA ramp, located on the west side of the Richard and Maurine Neuberger Center, will be closed Saturday September 27th from 5:30am until 6:00pm. Individuals with mobility concerns can still access the building through the parking structure, utilizing the building's internal elevators. Signage will be posted, both inside the building and near the northern entrance to the ramp (at the 4th Avenue sidewalk), communicating the revised path of travel.
