LOCATION: Academic and Student Recreation Center (ASRC)
DURATION: 1/21/2026 to 1/22/2026
PROJECT INFORMATION: Annual Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Testing to be performed by Western States Fire Protection; per NFPA 25 requirements.
01/21/2026 - 6:00am Fire Alarm Testing. Fire Contractor will continue test fire system functions throughout the day with minimal impact. System will be restored after testing.
01/22/2026 - 6:00am thru 4:00pm our contractor WSFP will continue their work on the fire system and complete elevator recall testing with Kone Elevator and City Archives beginning at 8am.
PROJECT BENEFITS: To ensure the building fire detection, notification, and suppression systems are operating as designed and compliant with code requirements
IMPACT: 01/21 & 1/22/2026 - Fire Alarm Monitoring will be disabled for the duration of this work.
01/21/2026 - 6:00am Fire Alarm Testing will be seen and heard from building occupants and exterior.
01/22/2026 - 8:00am Elevator Recall Testing will cause brief, intermittent elevator service delays.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: 01/21/2026 - 6:00am thru 7:00am, Fire Alarms will be seen and heard by building occupants and exterior.
01/22/2026 - 8:00am thru 10:00am, Elevator Recall Testing will cause brief, intermittent elevator service delays.
