PROJECT INFORMATION: This project replaces an aging rooftop chiller and supporting piping and equipment. This equipment and infrastructure provide air conditioning/space cooling to the entire building.
PROJECT BENEFITS: Improves cooling throughout the building; energy efficiency savings.
IMPACT: During this impact, there will be no air conditioning throughout most of the building and the bookstore. Air will be flowing in the building's HVAC system, but it will not be cooled air. The building will be substantially warmer than usual. A limited number of fans will be available to occupants who have to work on-site. The 7th floor will experience occasional noise due to construction work being done in the penthouse above.
There will be additional impacts due to this work, and those will be communicated in future impact notices.ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: None are expected.
