LOCATION: Smith Memorial Student Union (SMSU)

DURATION: Wednesday (6/3), Monday, (6/8), Thursday (6/11) and Friday (6/12) from 5:00am - 8am

PROJECT INFORMATION: The SMSU Re-Roof Project will be replacing the existing roof system.

Upcoming construction activities:

Boom truck pick to lift roofing supplies onto the SMSU roof.

PROJECT BENEFITS: The new roofing system will provide improved weather protection, enhance the building's energy efficiency, and prevent future water intrusion, ensuring a more comfortable environment for all students and staff.

IMPACT: See attached diagram showing impacts.

The Pedestrian Pathway between SW Park and SW Broadway on the south side of SMSU will be minimized from 5:00AM - 8:00AM. Entrances to Smith Memorial Union will be open per normal operation. As a precaution, third floor spaces, Suite 332, 333, 338 and fourth floor spaces, Suite 433, Rooms 435, 435A, 435B, 437, 438 and Suite 439 located directly below the loading zone will remain closed during lift operations.

ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: - Entrances: All entrances remain open, specific exterior pathways or doorways may be temporarily redirected during crane lifts or material delivery.

- Alternative Routes: If a specific pathway or entrance is temporarily closed, directional signage will be posted to the nearest alternative.
