DURATION: 11/16/2023 from 8:00:00 AM to 4:00:00 PM
PROJECT INFORMATION: The PSU Plumbing department will be replacing the domestic hot water heater in the 111A kitchen pantry as part of a routine maintenance upgrade. This hot water heater services the sinks in the commercial prep kitchen.
PROJECT BENEFITS: This upgrade will allow for maintained hot water usage to these points of service and eliminate the need for an emergency shut down should the existing heater reach the end of its lifespan.
IMPACT: Faucets, dishwashers, and other hot water fixtures in 111 kitchen space will be deprived of hot water for the duration of this work. In order to remove the existing heater, noise and occupation of 111 kitchen and 111A kitchen closet will occur with in the alloted time period.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: The kitchen will be closed off for use during this time. Plumbers and workers will be passing through the 110 main hall for transportation of the old and new heater. All efforts will be taken to reduce noise in this space during the duration of moving.
