DURATION: 5/11/2026 to 7/3/2026
PROJECT INFORMATION: Smith Memorial Student Union Rooms 229 and 230 will be closed to expand the Pacific Islander, Asian, and Asian American Student Center by demolishing the shared wall, creating stairs within the room for upper level access, and installing metal fabricated panels on the upper ledge.
PROJECT BENEFITS: The Pacific Islander, Asian, and Asian American Student Center will be expanded to better serve the needs of students.
IMPACT: The Pacific Islander, Asian, and Asian American Student Center will be inaccessible and there may be intermittent access impacts to the adjacent corridor. There will be noise impacts and construction personnel in and out of the space for the duration of the project.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: The Pacific Islander, Asian, and Asian American Student Center will be inaccessible for the duration of this project. There may be intermittent access impacts to the adjacent corridor.
