LOCATION: Richard and Maurine Neuberger Center (RMNC)

PROJECT INFORMATION: UPDATED - The two main building Air Handling Units (AHU-01 & 02) will be fully replaced as a part of this project. This project will have multiple impacts throughout it's duration that include three crane picks, brief electrical shut downs and impacts to the building's Heating Ventilation and Cooling Systems (HVAC). Future impact notices will be sent out to communicate all project impacts as they come up and in greater detail.
10/13 - 8am-12pm installation of temporary ductwork taps (heating and ventilation shut off for periods lasting up to an hour)
10/13 - 10/17: Initial project mobilization & Temporary Heating and Cooling ductwork and piping taps.
10/18 - Saturday, 7am-7pm: Temporary Heating equipment crane lift RMNC BUILDING CLOSED
10/20-10/25 - Connection and start-up of temporary heating and ventilation equipment
10/16 - 12/05: AHU-01 demolition and replacement will occur. (Phase 1).
12/05 - TBD: AHU-02 demolition and replacement will occur. (Phase 2).
PROJECT BENEFITS: To replace two aging Air Handler Units that are beyond their useful life. This project will improve occupant comfort by improving airflow, making the building's HVAC system more reliable and maintainable.
IMPACT: -Monday 10/13, 8am-12pm the heating and ventilation system serving different parts of the building will be shut down for periods lasting up to an hour. Users may experience cooler temperatures at these times.
-General construction noise & vibration shall be anticipated through out the duration of this project, especially for those users located on the 9th floor of the building.
-Building users may notice times of increased activity, including equipment, materials, and contractors in the building lobby, elevator, and corridors. Elevator 80 will be unavailable during short periods of time, and building users will need to use an alternative elevator (see attached plan).
