Hi all,

Thank you all for having made the FY27 Budget Submission Process so efficient. We concluded initial deliberations during our November 12th meeting and proceeded with a final vote on each request during the meetings on 11/7 and 11/12 this week and last week. This concludes the Initial portion of the Budget Process. The results of the final votes on 11/7 and 11/12 can be found in the November Unofficial Minutes folder here. Additional details regarding the discussion of your budget can be found in both the Deliberation Documents for your individual FFA and in the FY27 Master Allocation Spreadsheet (see the following tabs: ‘Allocation’, “Initial Allocations Summary”, and ‘Initial Allocation Deliberations’). A summary of the initial allocation outcomes is also attached as a PDF.

The Appeals process begins officially on Wednesday, November 19th and below are your REQUIRED next steps if you choose to participate:

  • TM1 reopens for appeal input on November 19th and closes on November 26th by 5 pm. Please reach out to your fiscal contact as early as possible to ensure your appeal is entered into TM1.

  • The Appeals form opens on Connect on November 19th and closes on November 26th at 11:55 pm at this link (Note: this link will not be open until November 19th at 12 pm)

  • Sign up for an appeals hearing time slot prior to December 2nd (the earlier the better to guarantee the spot you want - first come first serve!)

  • Upload your appeals presentation here prior to your hearing time slot

After making these initial budget decisions, the Student Incidental Fee is projected to increase by a minimum of between $0 and $10. This range is what the Student Fee Committee considers reasonable. The SFC encourages FFAs to recognize this additional fee burden to students when determining whether or not to submit an appeal. With this in mind, the SFC will not accept FFA requests for new or additional line items (that were not requested in the initial submission) during the appeals process as noted within the SFC Guidelines.

We appreciate any feedback you may have for us regarding our process and documentation for the budget process. Feel free to send any comments or questions of this nature to your SFC liaison or directly to me at asps...@pdx.edu.
