PROJECT INFORMATION: PSU Emergency Management is hosting Viking Preparedness Week featuring the "Shaky Grounds Café" mobile earthquake escape room.
The footprint includes a 50’ x 10’ trailer, 22' fire/rescue truck and 3–4 information tables for PSU and regional emergency partners. Community hours (Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM) include free mini-games and tabling. Full-hour games will be available for booking outside of these hours.
PROJECT BENEFITS: Provides hands-on life-safety and preparedness training and information to an estimated 500+ students, faculty and staff. Busts stress, increases emergency preparedness awareness, and builds community.
IMPACT: The trailer and truck combo (approx. 66’ total) will be located on Montgomery Plaza in front of Campus Public Safety throughout the week. 3-4 tables will be set up daily during community hours. A work order has been submitted for temporary movement of select planters for bump in / bump out. The trailer requires one standard 110v power connection. It will draw power from the event power box near CPSO entrance.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: Pedestrian paths may be temporarily narrowed, but a 10-foot fire lane and ADA-compliant widths will be maintained.
