DURATION: 10/19/2025 to 10/22/2025 from 7:00:00 PM to 6:00:00 AM
PROJECT INFORMATION: Over three nights, a vendor will be pressure washing the exterior surfaces of the two sky bridges along SW Broadway from elevated work platforms. The first night only (the evening of Sunday, October 19th to the morning of Monday, October 20) SW Broadway will be closed from SW Market Street to SW Harrison Street. This will restrict access to Parking Structure 2, as well as Westbound access at SW 6th and SW Mill and the intersection of SW Harrison and SW Broadway. (See map below). This work is being performed overnight to cause the least disturbance to the campus community and general traffic in the area.
PROJECT BENEFITS: This work will help beautify the campus by restoring the aesthetics of the skybridge surfaces and mounted lettering on them.
IMPACT: The night of October 19 into the early morning of October 20, this closure will restrict pedestrian access under the skybridges at the intersections of SW Montgomery and SW Broadway and SW Harrison and SW Broadway. Vehicles will be restricted from SW Market Street to SW Harrison Street along SW Broadway as well as the Westbound access at SW 6th and SW Mill and the intersection of SW Harrison and SW Broadway. On the nights of October 20 and 21, other nearby pedestrian routes will be modified as needed for safety. There will be intermittent engine noise, lift movement and crew communications for the duration of this work.
ACCESSIBILITY IMPACTS: Vehicular access to and from Parking Structure 2 will be closed the night of October 19 and early morning of October 20 during this work. Overnight from October 19 to the morning of October 22, pedestrian access to sidewalks in the area may be rerouted based on the progress of the work. Alternate pedestrian access will be available nearby throughout the work.
